This week I'm going to review two books, the second book in the series of the Forgotten Kingdoms by Lichelle Slater and a debut novel from Sarah Sutton.
Let's start with Book #2 The Siren Princess. I ABSOLUTELY loved this second book, maybe even more than the first, which is hard to believe but it was everything I wanted. I actually rooted for a villain (Hook) because Slater's vision amazed me. I had no idea it was everything I needed and never knew I wanted. It was beautiful and adventurous. I can't wait to see how she treats the third book which is a beauty and the beast reimagined once it's out for paperback version. Check the full review here:
That takes us to the second novel I read, What are Friends For? It promised to be a friends to lover romance, which let's be honest, who doesn't secretly wish something like this happened? I certainly know if I had a guy best friend, this would have been a secret wish. But I never did and that's okay because it remains a favorite romance trope of mine.
Remi is the main character and lives with her mom and is across the street from her best friend Elijah. She is head over heels for Jeremy and he is with Savannah. Everything seems fine until they play a party game and make out in the closet … blindfolded.
The emotions and imagery Sarah uses in this novel is wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and plan to read her second novel as well. She has created a fan!
