Hey Monday y'all!
I hope your weekend went well. This past week I have been busy starting the third book in the Honey Cove series annnd a little secret project that will touch back into the series as well!
The biggest thing this week though is my book launch! So I thought we could discuss what really goes into book launches.
My launch is of The Fall Changes. A YA Romance/Fiction novel following a sixteen year old girl who has to change her whole life when she moves and her parents separate. It'll be available as an e-book, paperback, and kindle unlimited. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087NF894Z
So book launches.... Do they really matter?
YES!
Book launches are the first week of your book's journey, and arguably one of the most important weeks! For the first thirty days, but especially that first week Amazon boosts you in the algorithms to be seen easier by those who might search certain categories. This is important because even with less sales, you can be seen a little better than normal.
It's also important to get reviews this week to continue to boost your rankings. Higher rankings = higher exposure. Reviews also allow Amazon to advertise you in the recommended sections of emails and under other similar book pages.
Book launch week is also important to engage with your fans all week. Post cute quotes and images to spawn intrigue. Posting videos about the book or fan art is also a way to engage the readers. Keeping your book out in the public's view is important to maintain sales over time.
Having book signings and giveaways, also encourage others to see your books and gain new readers.
All the work you put into the first week of launch and then subsequent months will impact your sales and it starts at day one.
Come back this Friday for book reviews on beauty and the beast retellings!
Always,
Marie
