I decided I'm going to start posting my reviews on my blog as well, because frankly, I enjoy when I find new books to read and I figured you might as well. My current devoured read was the first book in the series The Forgotten Kingdom. Book 1 is a fairy tale retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Lichelle Slater, crushed this first book. I absolutely loved the hidden details from the original stories we have all heard woven intricately into her work.
It didn't disappoint that's for sure. Princess Elisa has been cursed to become a dragon by her eighteenth birthday, something she desperately wishes to avoid. Her story takes us on the journey of her discovering more about her curse, her land, and herself.
It's beautiful and I can't wait to see what she does to the second book which is the retelling of the Little Mermaid in the same world as before!
